Clinic	Eye Institute Clinics
Referral	Retina Clinics: Referral by ophthalmologists only Other Clinics: Referral by optometrists or general practitioners only
Description	The Eye Institute Clinics provide a wide range of ophthalmology subspecialties such as Neuro- Ophthalmology, Oculoplastics, Glaucoma, Retina, Corneal Disease, Adult Strabismus, and Cataract Surgery. The Eye Institute also has special clinics for Low Vision and Refractive Laser Surgery. Diagnostic testing for ophthalmology is provided by the technician staff and is booked through the ophthalmologist. Patients requiring surgical procedures are seen both pre- and post-operatively in the Eye Institute Clinics. Most eye surgery is performed in the Eye Institute Day Care Unit on an outpatient basis. The clinics are staffed by a combination of ophthalmologists, nurses, technicians/technologists and clerical staff.
